Did Jack Sims get injured in the warmup or was there a mistake with the team sheet and he was never meant to start to begin with?

Did Jack Sims get injured in the warmup or was there a mistake with the team sheet and he was never meant to start to begin with? Sims was originally meant to start in the first half as per twitter but Sam Roberts started in goal for us, Matt Kerbey played the second 45 mins. The full line-ups were: Roberts; J. Williams, French, Taylor, Vaz; Coley, Harris, Wadham, De Silva; Tume, Davies. Second Half: Kerbey; Triallist, Eccleston, Ransom, Reeves; Boateng, Triallist, Simper, Sivi; Rush, Trickett. Unused: Moore, Vorster, Edwards.

Yes I know that, didn’t really answer my question. Was he out warming up? We’ve seen mistakes with the Twitter team sheet before

Thank you Localboy for confirming the teams . I thought one of the midfielders in the second half was Simper(17) who I recall was mentioned on the twitter for second half team with only one trialist . Shows how wrong I can be . Going to add to the pre season fun spotting who is who. Maybe Arnold and Odelusi were absent preparing for their on stage appearance on Friday

Sorry Brian - I made an error on the line ups, Simper did play in the second half. Have amended my post.
Odelusi wasn’t quite ready to feature last night.

I'd say around 20. Standing behind the goal in the second half that is. There were some sitting in the stand to the right. It was an encouraging performance. Tonbridge didn't really do anythingto be honest. The Sutton number 7 looked very lively indeed. Very well taken goals all round. Which one - we had a different 7 in the first half to the 2nd half. Overall it was a really positive start. This team feels totally different and had both energy and purpose. We made a mid table side from the division below look really poor, unlike the opening game last season where a weak team from 2 divisions below (and ended up being relegated) almost matched us. Our 2nd goal from Vaz was a thing of beauty, but there wasn't one new name on there who didn't impress me, and was interesting to see Coley shouting orders in the first half, almost captain like. I wonder who will be made captain of the side? Sorry, the second half. He kept popping up on both wings.

There was a trialist who was named in the commentry after being told they could by Steve, but I forgot his first name, Something Williams. I think he put Rush through for the third..

Quick summary from me, enjoyed Tuesday night - given the vast turnover of players was pleasing to see some cohesion already and patterns of play etc. French looks to have some leadership qualities so maybe a captain candidate there, Taylor looks a heck of a player already literally dealt with every long ball they threw at us - can see why Steve likes him. Vaz had a superb first half and looks like he could be a real asset at left back. Wingers Boateng (wore 7) and Sivi (wore 15) in the second half looked electric at times - speed, trickery and dribbling ability. I like how there’s a nod to utilising the academy - none of them put a foot wrong, Eccleston was superb in particular at centre half in the second half. Onto Saturday.
