The Supporters Day on Sunday has been cancelled by the club as they now want to run the event themselves on a different day.
To say I am angry is an understatement and another kick in the Supporters direction. I first enquired about this back in May and spent most of my summer trying to get this confirmed and pushing for someone from the playing staff to also attend. Only to be told 5 days before that they have now cancelled it.
This was meant to be an opportunity for us to meet up and not a money making scheme.
In it together? My backside.

Yes. I'm concerned about the direction the club is taking. Dave don’t you remember when the club was on its knees, getting gates of three hundred if that and going know where. Think how the club has changed since then, and where the club have been, so one cancellation, speak to the club if you don’t like it.⚽️⚽️⚽️ |

I understand why you would be disappointed, after thinking of it and making the effort, but it looks like they have taken onboard your idea still, and maybe think its best they juggle with it along with their schedule...

This event was posted on Facebook as well as on the Forum.It bears testament to the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to Run the Supporters club.Whether it's organising these events, running Coaches, Selling 50/50 tickets, or booking Memberships.These are all done by volunteers on Match days, and on the intermediate weekdays. I know the Committee puts a lot of time in fitting these events into their busy lives to organise the Supporters Club, who do it all independently of the Football Club, I include in that Financially.
More help is always needed,with our AGM booked for tonight extra help is always welcome on the Committee.

Yes there was a twit on x last Saturday I think, about some sort of event at the David weir Centre but not sure there has been anything on the website providing details.

I think there is something planned for this Thursday. Where is the info or invite for that? I’d heard that something was planned for Sunday afternoon in the new home end at the club - don’t think I’ve seen anything officially anywhere though. An email to all members about these things would surely be the easiest thing as emails are part of the info gathered when joining? |
