My concern is what do we do when the pitch is unusable? Not sure there is any 3G surface so will have to go elsewhere. We will need to prep for some games on 3G. Will it be Chipstead? I believe the only team in the National League that play on a 3G is actually Tamworth so that will only be an issue for week 1 barring cup draws. But yeah training in the winter could be an issue, I’m sure a contingency plan is being out in place

St. Helier/Rosehill area. Horrible, hardly inspiring surroundings. As a Lancastrian, I feel the same way about Yorkshire.............................only joking! Seriously, I believe the main criteria for choice of training facilities must surely be how good they are and economics. Location is less important save for benefits accruing from travelling times.

Which would be a concern, but I'm sure the club will have a solution

I think terrier is perfectly entitled to offer his/her opinion about the area where the training ground is. This is a forum...a place where people offer their views and they are open to discussion. If you don't agree then put forward your view that the Rosehill/St Helier area is in fact a beautiful part of Surrey rather than telling them in effect to shove their opinions. Why's it relevant though? How will what's outside the facility affect the players' ability to train inside it?

Because they will be too worried about their cars being stolen to concentrate on training and tactics ! ONLY JOKING !

There is a well known playing area a few miles east with several pitches where that was a genuine concern in the 1989s.

The facilities and location at Harlington were wonderful. We didn't exactly set the world on fire for 18 of the 24 months we were there.
