What with this, the new ‘co-owners’ and the ‘professionals’ in our commercial and marketing team it does seem that the club many of us have supported for many years is going through drastic change. All at a time when we have been poor on the pitch. We seem a million miles away from the club, team and match day experience that we saw under Dos. It doesn’t feel all good at the moment….Hopefully a winning start and series of good results might change what feels like a very strange atmosphere around at the moment

My understanding is that as you haven’t specifically mentioned “the 1940’s” (😏😀)I’m allowed to agree wholeheartedly with this …..

A clear victory on the pitch, but less obvious off it.
Can I ask for feedback on the matchday experience and the changes for this season please? Not much time to listen ahead of our next home game against York City this weekend - but the Club had a 2 1/2 hour feedback session yesterday - and we have 20+ home matches remaining.
I'm sure many will find it easiest to respond here, but emails to tim.allison@suttonunited.net or via our SLO Claire Loughlin are the best methods of ensuring your voice is heard.

I thought that generally the changes did not change the match day experience for me too much. I liked the new home end and think potentially that can help make the home games a bit more vibrant with it. The Fan zone looked quite nice with the main gripe I heard from people being about the limited drink selection on tap compared to the Ambers Bar. Also, given people are still on holiday and the Ambers bar could potentially get busier through the season, this is something that will need an eye kept on IMO, as if people can't be arsed to cue for a drink at halftime and miss some of the game, then the club could lose out. Likewise, if people opt for other pubs before and after the games, this won't be helpful. It was good to see fans allowed to stand at the barrier In front of the main stand (particularly for kids who rely on it for a better view), despite people thinking this would not be permitted? But overall, Given we have had to build a brand new squad of players and staff, lay down a brand new pitch, a new website, a new kit, and with all the other changes following a big downer last season, I have to congratulate the club for a decent job! While there may be more stuff to sort out and improve, things are going well. ~the main issue being the bar, and making sure fans like to drink there and that on match days the club can get as much revenue from it as possible.

It is the limited choice of where to stand as I enjoyed being on the park side where we could see the whole pitch; I don't like the views behind the goal. Maybe the away fans should be behind the GGL end. Presumably they have some seats allocated in the stand.

I agree, I stood on the terrace on the right of the GGL entrance but it was too far away from the far end.
I missed the fans who stood near the halfway line on the Rec side.
At the moment I’m not sure where I’m going to stand on Saturday.

What is the deal with the family stand? Can you pay the difference between the general admission price and the stand price if you already have a season ticket? Was the GGL terrace used much last Saturday or have most of those that stood there moved to the new stand?

The club has stated that the parkside terrace is to be for home fans, but currently due to segregation areas not ready in time, it is being used for away fans. In due course it will be mostly used for home fans but on occasion it will be used for away fans when ticket demands are high or perhaps when weather is bad..

We like our "spot".
