Big test for both the new pitch and the new set up tomorrow. Very heavy rain predicted for much of the morning (my drive up the a24 ain't going to be pleasant). Will be the bravest of souls hanging around the fan zone pre match if the forecast is correct. As for the pitch, the drainage will certainly get a working over. Just hope the surface doesn't get ruined, will be interesting to see how it copes. In weather like today won’t it be a bit of a squash in Ambers Bar or am I missing something? Some will be in the 1898 bar, and MBA open to all at 2pm from latest notes ground changes. You never know, someone may have checked forecasts and got some cover sorted for the fan zone! |

Does anyone know if it’s now a rule that National league matches have to be segregated?
I’m pretty sure most weren’t, unless advised by the police, when we were last in this league 🤔

Does anyone know if it’s now a rule that National league matches have to be segregated? I’m pretty sure most weren’t, unless advised by the police, when we were last in this league 🤔 I don't believe it is a Nat League rule, but a regulation for those with league certified grounds, as ours is. |

I'm reluctant to join with the 'our website is crap' tendancy but could someone tell me how to buy an audio pass to listen to commentary of today's match, please? All I can see on the website (under 'Preview') is a ref. to the Mixlr channel. No link. Googling SUFC Mixlr I see only a display of 'Latest Recordings' and that there are no 'upcoming events'. It's not that joined up, tbh. I do work, fairly extensively using and navigating websites. But... Go to mixlr, search Sutton United FCTV |

I’ll take a point in a close game and still unbeaten. Yes you could say keep the ball a bit better and all that, but this is a young team and still learning, and also York hadn’t lost. So now on too Monday.⚽️⚽️⚽️

What happened to the regular announcer today? Sick! Sacked!
Anyway the lady taking his place was poor I thought. Maybe they are trying to 'jazz' things up. She played music after our first goal but nothing after the second.
We made three subs at once, she announced the first two then totally ignored Josh Coley.
Announced the crowd then about a minute later the number of away fans.
There was a radio silence at half time and not even any of the usual half time competitions on the pitch.
It all seemed a bit disjointed. Decent game though.

Can not really find fault with the announcer,as in side 1 of grandstand whatever she was saying was just indistinct noise as usual. I think the problem lies with the loud speakers not that the word befits the speakers

It's fundamentally a problem caused by the very open nature of the ground (poor acoustics), coupled with PA limitations, speaker placement and the extent of the problem is dependant on where you happen to be in the ground. Any poor microphone technique or inappropriately quick speech by the announcer will not help.
We have this discussion twice every season. It's not good enough, but the money is not really there to address this until more pressing matters are taken care of (I believe).
