Poor display. Oldham looked like the men and us the boys. We started the game quite brightly then when Arnie made yet another mistake we looked like we were knocked off track, or it gave Oldham an extra spark. If I was Sims I would be wondering what my job is at this point..
Defence continues to be a thorn in our side. And the experience of Jackson being gone looks like it is not helping. With Simper likely out now for at least a month or so, we have just got to be realistic about our team. We are seeing sime players shine through so its not all doom and gloom but we can also see this league is extremely hard.
I have been sceptical of a promotion push as it was clear we had a very new young team that would likely not be fit for promotion right away, I imagine around January we will have a better idea but I still want to see us clear that 50/55 point mark to ensure we can continue building in the this League next season. If we were to squeeze the play offs, would we really be ready for League 2 at this state, I think not.

I think Gateshead will be as difficult to compete against as Oldham were, so we could be in for a tough one again. To be honest I'd take a draw and three points at Braintree on Saturday. We need to get some confidence before the big cup game.

I would like to see Sims start and we may need to recall Wadnam as it does not look like Simper will be fit any time soon. Unless Steve wants to get another in on loan. This is when the others must step up.

Josh Taylor from Dorking? Right age and good tackler in central midfield.

I haven't time to read 3 pages of comments and maybe I'm saying the same as others.
We still have no real leader on the pitch. We need a good defensive midfielder. I know Nick got injured early on but really him and Barbrook are probably our best players but I don't think we have room for both of them in a team.

Lewis Simper. Nick was in Deep Purple. Google them!
