We travel to the Crown Oil Arena (Spotland Stadium) tomorrow to face 6th in the table Rochdale with the main danger expected to come from Kairo Mitchell and Devante Rodney. I am personally looking forward to this one as it is my first trip to this ground.

Rather like us, Rochdale have scored quite a lot of goals this season but they've also conceded a fair few recently. Like us, they've suffered a 4-3 defeat - in their case, at home to Bromley in the FA Cup last weekend.
This game will be a test of our new-found defensive resilience (only two goals conceded in our last three matches, one of those a penalty and the other scored by a strong League One side).

Never been to Rochdale who are having something of a revival this season. Relegated in season 22/23 and after a season of consolidation in the National league they are now looking to regain their Football League status. Will be a tough battle up there which hopefully we can come out on top. Safe travels to all those going.

There is a famous fish and chip shop directly opposite the away turnstiles that is superb. Fish and chips as they should be…… haddock and no skin!
The clubhouse on the main-stand side is pretty good too.

Another we go into as big underdogs. It would be a surprise if we can find our first win over one of the sides currently occupying the top 7 in what would be our 6th attempt. It will be interesting how we approach it.
Any news on Simper? I’m a bit behind on interviews coming out of the club so apologies if on them. Also anyone know what Ransom’s injury was?

Simper out for another 4 weeks apparently. Ransom about a week away from training again, not sure what the injury was.

No Sivi at left back and French moves over as a centre back. Hope that doesn't spell disaster !

Late loss. In line with expectations. Feels like a big game next week to me.

Hope Harris injury not too bad but didn’t look good. How many Sutton fans made the trip today?

Another late goal conceded which is a bit frustrating and again scoring goals are proving hard to get.’ All we can do is get behind the team and finish mid table.⚽️⚽️⚽️

Very frustrating to concede in added time but in all fairness Rochdale deserved to win. They had much more possession and displayed better quality than us. I just get the feeling that we don't have enough guile to compete with the better sides in this league and are heading for mid table (at best) anonymity.

Watching the highlights a free header in the box for their first.

Rochdale had about 70% possession. If you give the opposition that much of the ball, they're going to get chances. And Rochdale duly took two. Their winning goal was in stoppage time, but even a draw would have flattered us.
Our goal was an opportunistic strike from Vaz after their keeper had parried a Davies shot. Otherwise, we threatened only occasionally on the break. We seemed unable to build attacks.
This Sutton side can beat the likes of Woking and Braintree, but consistently comes up short against the better sides in the NL.

We are going to have up and downs to the end of the season, so it’s a learning season for the players.⚽️⚽️

3 of todays lineup are loanees with 2 more on the bench so we are “learning lessons” we will never see pay off in a Sutton shirt. Their talent level no where near the quality of last seasons loanees either. I see very few positives
