Laurie Evans was the player playing shots in the Brit Insurance ad, Harinath is a quality prospect, can't wait to see how he steps up to the plate for Surrey 1s.

i thought Harinath would get a chance this year.i saw him get 150 odd a couple of years ago against Notts seconds.he looks like a decent player.
none of the youngsters did much,Walters and Murtagh both had one decent knock in the 40 over game and Spriegel did OK without putting in any outstanding performances with bat or ball.Meaker did OK at the end.
the "performances" that Shoaib Akhtar put in were disgraceful.

A new management team and four new coaches at Surrey.Bowled out for 160 odd and 130 odd by Gloucestershire and Derbyshire respectively.All this in Division Two.Thanks goodness Ramps is back after this match....................They are currently being smashed to all parts by Derby's last wicket pairing.

Unfortunately I don't think they're that good, sorry Chris. Look at their ages, they should have done more by now. I'm really worried about Surrey this year. Everyone used to look at Surrey and now it's a joke. David Sales was making 100's in the Surrey Championship at 13, unfortunately these guys haven't really. Surrey then let Sales go! His face doesn't appear to fit with anyone which is a real shame as that boy was a real talent. Don't get me wrong these guys are good cricketers but I just don't think they have what it takes. Time will tell of course but I'm not sure Surrey have this!

Newman,inexplicably dropped for the Glouc game after being the only man last year (apart from Ramps obviously) to score 1,000 runs was brought back for the Derby game and got 124.

177 for Newman yesterday and they lost ! Nice sunny afternoon though.Nel is a waste of space for my money,as are Collins,Tudor and Ormond.
