NATIONWIDE CONFERENCE - WEMBLEY FINAL
The Football Conference are delighted to confirm that the Nationwide Conference Promotion Final will be staged at Wembley on Sunday 20 May 2007 Kick-Off 2pm.
Conference Chairman, Bill King, said “Staging the Final the day after the first ever FA Cup Final at the new stadium will give the opportunity to the Players, Officials and supporters of two of the Countries leading clubs outside the Premier and Football League to experience first hand the magic of playing at Wembley.”
Wembley Stadium’s Managing Director, Alex Horne said: ‘We are delighted that Wembley will be hosting this season’s Nationwide Conference Play-Off Final. I am sure that the two teams chasing promotion will put on a thrilling game for their supporters and enjoy the opportunity of playing at the national stadium on the day after the stadium officially opens.”
Chris Hull, Nationwide’s Sponsorship Controller, commented: “This is fantastic news for the competition to hold the Play-Off Final at the magnificent new Wembley Stadium.” “It is a wonderful reward for the loyal supporters of the Nationwide Conference and will help to raise the profile of the game at this level even further.”

Well, if the final turns out to be Morecambe v Burton Albion then the new Wembley should be, ooh, 10% full. ;D
