Once a season is enough! They are probably hoping to increase attendances this way.Personally i don't think it will make much difference.Playing attractive football and challenging for the title or playoffs is the best way to increase attendances.

I'm sure i remember reading it went up to help fund "a promotion challenge" or something like that, maybe now that didn't work out and the fact they seem to be getting a fair bit of wedge from Carlsberg and the likes mean they can afford the loss in takings.
Conversely they might think that it'll drag more in and they'll make more money from new fans in other ways.

But that's exactly what they did this season! Well, challenged for the playoffs anyway. And got there too.

Don't go then That is rather a surprise- anyone know why? I can't be arsed to ask my Havant friends. Their website says: "Price drop next season Mon May 14 2007, 19:43 Hawks HQ today announced that turnstile prices at Westleigh Park next season will drop. While many clubs in the league will increase their fees over the summer, entry to Westleigh Park next season will cost just £8. Season tickets will also be frozen at £147.
The new plan will see a simpler price structure in operation: £8 for adults and £6 for all concessions, with accompanied under 11s still getting in free. Entry to the main stand will however cost an additional £2, although season ticket holders won’t have to pay any extra for a seat. An adult season ticket will cost £147 for the third year in succession, a saving of £21 on the terrace price, or a massive £63 saving for a seat in the stand. Concession season tickets will be around £110 for all.
Existing season ticket holders will be sent renewal forms in the near future, and once published, the form will be available from the club office and from this website." Not really an explanation, I know, other than the "simpler price structure" bit. Perhaps they hope to attract more people by charging less?
