Certainly worth considering - although the schools are on holiday during August, so it might be difficult getting the message across. For April, we only really had one chance to communicate the message before schools broke up for Easter and kids football seasons finished. Just thinking out loud here, but September might be better?

I agree with that. There's no point trying to get a message across to kids who are all over the place on holiday etc. when you could get them all in one place in term time: schools, Scout groups, etc.

Also haven't you got to wait to see how successfuit was?
it wasn't just about letting them in free it was about getting new season ticket holders for this season.
Thinking aloud but once they sign up could youth st holders be sent some free vouchers so they could bring friends?
That could be followed up or coupled with a voucher for a discount season ticket for their friend.
