Our first game in 2009 looks set to be on Tuesday, Margate gives us an opportunity to take not only a play off spot and make it our own for the first time this season, but also to dislodge the Bobbins in the process.
This game and this opportunity has been what the last 5 months has all been about!

This game and this opportunity has been what the last 5 months has all been about! I wouldn't go that far to be honest OS - it'd be wrong to put too much pressure on this one game after the 2+ week break we've had enforced on us despite the form in the run-up to Christmas (and the 27th). The next 21 games are what the last 5 months have all been about if that makes sense

Haha....don't get me wrong, nothing would make me happier than when we go above them. But we've got another 21 games to do it so why rush?

I'll only be worried if they put big Nev in goal.
Mainly as it might prevent me from embarrassing myself telling him how brilliant he was...

Hopefully you drooling over him might put him off a bit.

Forget the Bobbins we need to get above Staines for home advantage in the play offs!

TBH, I doubt home\away advantage would matter too much. Play-offs are one off games, winner takes all. I'd fancy our chances.

Can we please go up automatically? Play-offs make me nervous... squeaky bum time etc.

Rax, my boy, unless you know of a Dover player without international clearance i think automatic promotion is unlikely. Play-offs in any place will do me. I'm confident we're good enough to win 'em if we're in them.
I wouldn't mind playing away either. We make more noise away since everybody stands together and the players don't seem unduly bothered either way despite the unbeaten home league record.

But I said please and everything. I'd be fairly confident too but I'm not a fan of tension and nerves.

The management said they were confident our away form will improve after christmas, i'd like to think it will also, i think form can pretty much go out the window in a play off final.
