Croydon A in the money???

A colleague of mine tells me that Nic McDonnell has left Bromley for Croydon A, after saying he was not enjoying his football there, and wanted time out. My source tells me they offered £450 a week for his services!!

He does join Charlie Ide there, as well as their ex Grays coaching staff!!

Rob, or anyone else have you heard anything??

Croydon Athletic were taken over by a local property developer called Majeed (no relation to the infamous Crawley Majeeds) last summer - they've been "in the money" all season

I have been working with a Croydon A fan recently. He told me they have a biger budget than Dulwich and if they are signing the likes of McDonnell then they must have. I knew Ide had gone there but forgot to post it.

I have not heard anything about Nic McDonnell,but having played against Bromley in a pre season friendly Nic is a quality player,Charlie Ide is as you all know quality and his pace just frightens opponents,all I can tell you is Mesnach Nugent has gone back to Maidstone as his loan deal has run out,but we have just signed on loan a young reserve stiker from Millwall Lyle Taylor,but the owner wants us out of this division so at the moment I suppose it would be no surprise if McDonnell came in,when you think we have the Grays keeper,who is quality,Ide,Serge Makofo,Shabazz Baidoo,Selley Robbie Ryan,watch this space .

McDonnell would've been good for us. I remember him as a youngster at Croydon and I always thought he was good then. He's also been at Carshalton, St Albans and Crawley amongst other sides, looking to improve all along. I can't help thinking we've missed out again on a player who would do well in our division.

Obviously up Gareth,the table shows us where we are at the moment,but unbeaten in 5 and with the new management team in place and the quality type of player in the team,like yourselves we hope to make the play off,s yes it might be difficult,as we were not in a good position previously,but since the 1-1 draw with Worthing( after we had lost to you and deservably so ) both the performance and results have been good and if we can continue on our unbeaten run and with a bit of luck with other results we feel we might make it,the management and the players believe it ,and like yourselves a couple of months back you were not in a great position,but a few wins and all of a sudden your in the mix,getting into the play off position is one thing,staying there is another,hopefully we wont play you next year as you will be in the Blue Square South,and we will be in the Ryman Premier,anyway see you soon and good luck.
