The weather's not particularly nice outside, rather damp. Just wondering how the pitch is holding up. Is it still under its white blanket or has the snow thawed now? If it's thawed, I'd imagine the ground is quite boggy now, with the extra rain falling as I type. Not looking good for Saturday  . |

This reply is about 24 hours after your enquiry, but I can tell you that there was no sign of snow remaining on the pitch this afternoon. It was, however, very boggy and I would guess that, in addition to the efforts of the ground staff, we need little or no rain plus some decent sun and/or wind between now and Saturday to dry it out sufficiently to provide a playable surface.
