Time to move on to Tuesday's game now and the start of the 7 games that will make or break our season.
If we can pick up 18 points from these 7 games then you've got to think that we'd be dead-cert qualifiers for the play-offs. Anything less than that and the games against Dartford, Carshalton and Hornchurch suddenly become cup finals

Well said Gareth - After these 2 home games we have 7 games in March, 6 being away! We can get the points we need in these, many of the teams coming up in the next 9 games are in the lower half of the table - if we can't get results there, then we don't deserve being in the play offs!
On a slightly different note, our av gate for the season is 483 which is the same as last year - with some well supported teams coming to the Lane, and the Easter Monday spectacular which will be our biggest crowd of the season, I see our gates on average being up on last year!

Tooting is the first of seven successive matches against lower-half sides. We can't take anything for granted, but they give us a real opportunity to consolidate our place in the play-offs. The next two are both at GGL, but then all but one of our March fixtures are away. The trips to Heybridge, Boreham Wood, Ashford and Harrow will be a critical test of our away form.

Especially Harrow who have seen off both Staines and Dover at their place.Very odd!

Have to say that Sutton Cricket Club have pulled off a bit of a coup in sponsoring the home Dartford game! We have our AGM on Tuesday so I will miss the Tooting game. Text updates would be appreciated please?

I'd say Tim Bond & Dean Palmer are big doubts. Both hamstring injuries from saturday. Although Bondy was moving around a lot better than Deano in the bar afterwards.

Interesting to note the comments on the Hastings message board elphinstone1.suddenlaunch3.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&num=1235222859 implying that the game on Saturday was dire and it was a late goal that won it for TMUFC. Similar sentiments on their own board thebogendroar.proboards85.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=573The game before was another drab sounding 0-0 against Billericay. It seems the recall of Antonio which happened just before the Billericay game has reduced their goal scoring threat back down to Paul Vines again. Also, i've just noticed that TMUFC played five games in December and didn't score so it seems if you can limit the threat of Vines then the goals dry up. Of course, another way of looking at it is that they've not conceded in two games but with Gavin McCallum in electrifying form i would be hoping to break that run.

If this game was played on the original date I would expect a gate close to 600. What are the chances for us to toping 400 tonight?
