What the H....is wrong with Sutton, why is it they cant defend the final few minutes of the game when in a winning position.. Its not the first this this season.!!

Certainly a case of 2 points dropped rather than a point won today. We were the stronger side, yet didn't capitalise on it once more. Good to see Bentley score his first league goal for the club, and a cheeky header from Matt. Their equaliser really has to be put down to goalkeeping error, but the defence were slow at reacting at times. Really the only thing that will stop us getting a final play off spot now is us, so if we are not in the top 5 at the end of the season, we really will have ourselves to blame (and perhaps the odd referee ) - but we need to tighten up on our lapses of concentration - it was pretty obvious at the end of the game that both Westy and Hughes were pretty angry about it!

I was laughed at (by some) when I sugested we won't make the play-off after drawing at home To Heybridge. Now nothing is done & dusted yet but once again we failed to beat one of the bottom clubs at home and results like these could be our downfall. Dartford are putting the pressure on & while Robins have lost their last two, we have failed to go above them. Both Staines & Angels are looking strong for the 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.
It was a decent game today, on a pitch that ironically looks to need some moisture on it & made control of the ball quite difficult. U's put alot of effort into the game and once the scoreline was 2-1 should really have closed the game out.
Boro, with Dwayne Clarke (no 9) proving a right handful, contributed to the entertainment and I have seen far worse sides visit GGL this season. But in the end, it was application in both final thirds of the pitch that cost U's 2 points.
MOM for me today was Gav MCallum and while PN in goal made a critical error for their late equaliser, he did make one outstanding save in the first half & a couple of other impressive saves so it would be harsh to point the blame.
And, God preserve us, another decent refereeing performance. Two on the trot - what's happening?
A win at Scraley Road next sat is now a must.

I can only echo above, we only need to get a reasonably points return to make the playoffs, the fact is for whatever reason we are dipping below that. PN was at fault for the equaliser but did pull off a stunning save in the first half but why was no one on the post?? Defensively we do not look tight and we don't help ourselves by some of the passing at the back on what is one heck of an awful playing surface. Chukki does not look as if he would score if he was on the pitch on his own and those 2 things will cost us a playoff spot is not sorted asap. Our recent away form is better than our home form now so maybe its better pitches and March could be a good thing for us. Tuesday is a big night for us even though we are not play but I am gutted at that 89min goal
