Thanks, honsec - as the retained list includes out of contract players that teams wish to keep, it is still relevant, though mis-named I would suggest.
Bob - we certainly need to know who will be playing up front next season before placing bets. I don't know what the contract situations with Warren and Craig are, but I think Craig is signed to the end of next season.

Nah, I think Haze is a little more proactive than that KBB. The fact he's moved to secure the contracted lads NOW rather than trying after 3-4 friendlies when they've spent the summer being tapped up by all & sundry is a good sign for me. Naturally, if we're playing the usual summer game of "Who the f*ck is that?" at the first couple of PSF's, you'll know where to find me to say "Told you so!"  |

Pre-season's not the same without a Hubert Noah or two though, is it?!!
I know IH was a bit peeved that a few names were mentioned on here in the close-season last year before any paperwork was signed, only to find that this alerted other clubs. The power of Amber Planet and all that!! So he'll be keeping his cards close to his chest for the next month I think...maybe we should just talk in initials or obscure nicknames

But seriously, it's good that Haze is being pro-active, but surely he can't break the tradition of having one donkey in the team. Whether it's an amusing named centre-forward or someone who makes Miller look like Pele, we have to have some dodgy friendly players...

I love the "WTFIT?" game and it's the only highlight of pre-season! Can't wait for a Milovaenty Dugan-Ted Oiveren III from the Orkney Islands to turn up against L'head.
