as I said I would after the Dover match. With Hx win at Hendon & two wins for Wealdstone this week, suddenly they appear the main threats to both U's & Robins in 4th & 5th place.
Wealstone's gd is healthy & Hx's is now 2 better than ours.
Maidstone's win at Colston Ave also puts them in the picture & Datford are still sniffin' around. It's gonna be a tight run in for sure. Those 3 home games now seem must wins.
Amazing really, get beat 6-0 & still 4th. For how much longer though?

Easier said than done maybe but we need to rid yesterdays result from our minds as soon as possible. Having looked at the league table - it should be a fascinating conclusion to the season if a little nervy as I didnt realise we have a large chasing pack outside of 5th. As mentioned elsewhere - the game at Hendon on tuesday is now a massive game before the crunch match against Dartford. For sure it's going to go right to the wire...

We've got six games left. Three are away against sides fighting to avoid relegation. The other three are home against play-off rivals. So no pressure then!
Our original target to reach the play-offs was 70 points, but with none of the sides below us showing consistent form it now looks as if OS's 66 will be enough. So three wins and a draw should do it for us.
Obviously the home matches will be key as they are all potential 'six-pointers'. We haven't won at GGL since 17 January, and need to rediscover the habit.
With Hornchurch winning at Hendon today (and still having a game in hand) they now look the main threat. The final game of the season could be interesting!

I think you will find the Hornchurch are more than a threat as they can go above us with their game in hand.

KBB Yes and a good example of the damage potentially done yesterday by capitulation is that our goal diff is now inferior to theirs which means that a draw at our place on the last day of the season may favour them and not us now Hendon Tuesday massive, Dartford don't play so we can eliminate their threat to us next Saturday or iceberg ahead and run for them life boats!

It's points on the board that count! And even if they do overtake us, provided we keep above the rest we'd still be in a play-off place.

It could be that our goal scoring machine will run riot in our remaining games and improve our GD!!!..Lets hope that Chucki E. is at last fit, and score a few goals.

If he's not fit now he never will be! He makes Mark Watson look like Maradonna or is that Madonna?
