I've just got off the phone to the manager. He's written his programme notes, but he also wanted to says a few 'thank yous' not always covered in his round-up. You can read all about it on Saturday.
But... The supporters, particularly on away games, have come if for praise, and Dos and the players really appreciate your efforts. At the start of the year he wanted to put a smile on people's faces, and you've put in the effort yourselves - singing, outnumbering opponents' fans, and getting behind the team.
Stating the obvious - this is a massive week! Dos wants you to bring a mate, bring balloons and turn it into a carnival atmosphere. He says he looks forward to seeing you all there... They're expected to bring a few, so let's make sure we're out in numbers. Be the twelfth and thirteenth man! And, if we get a positive result he'll even help subsidise coach travel. Now there's an incentive to roar the lads to victory!

I could not agree more after the last couple of seasons to get a sniff of the play off's is great.
I for one are trying to get my son and his uni mates to turn up. Mind you they did at the Notts Count game where no concessions were available and it cost me a fortune. Bloody students.

I think Dos has done a great job this year . I was dubious when he took over. If we had not had so many injuries etc I think we woul have easily mad the play offs. Not only that he is assembling a side for the future.
Well done Dos and I hope we make it.

The level of support for the derby game was the sort of stuff we should be able to produce most weeks at home.
We need that again this week. For 90 minutes. No excuses.

Just looked on e-bay and you can get 1000 yellow balloons for £45 - would someone (not me cos I'm rubbish) want to gather up some money and get some to give away to everyone? Maybe someone can get them cheaper? I'd chip in......
To add to this - I would like to thank Dos because I am attending more games than ever including a few away ones (ok 5!) and have enjoyed them all mostly!.

Has Doswell not got a computer ? He reads the site, so I would imagine be just doesn't want to post. Instead he uses more official channels to communicate his message to the fans. |
