Steve Watts came on for the ressies last night and netted twice, including a cracking deft lob. Oh for some of the same on Saturday ! Billy Dunn got the other with a screamer of a shot even though he was about 5 yards offside.

Good news!
It's about time the potential goals turned into actual goals.

But I bet they didn't have big Jimmy McFarlane marking them last night. ;D I thought he was nearing retirement when we last saw him play for Purfleet/Thurrock.

What I failed to mention was the number of chances that went begging for Chukki, Dundo and Billy Dunn in the first half. They should have had 6 goals between them before the break.

He might be big, but he's about as quick as a dead 3 toed Sloth. Gav & Billy exposed that at their place. Just didn't put the ball in the net enough.

I left minutes before the goals went in on Tuesday, and to be honest we could easily have been half a dozen goals to the good. The boys are due goals, Watts isn't going to be a 90min man, but his presence could be vital in the last 30mins on Saturday. The way he plays will create opportunities, and as Taz says, with Billy and Gav available for pace we could play those two off Watts and finally get the goals.
I'd take a 1-0 win and the Bobbins losing. Though meeting them in a play-off final would be fun (positivity being the buzz word).
And I do think Steve runs like a T-Rex, and that Danny Phillips should have a high-pitched voice. Yes, it's a slow day...
