Just seen on their site he has played every league game this year and scored 31 league goals. That is quite something and whilst hoping it will not come back to bite me surprising given their complete lack of threat against us in both games. Not a record to be sniffed at all and something a lot of clubs would pay decent money for. He must have some quality about him. Whilst having no knowledge of their finances or his age they will surely find it hard to keep hold of him next year.

I have followd Jolly's career to some extent when he emerged at Hayes in their Suburban Lge team as a prolific scorer in the mid late 90's. He didn't make it in their Conference Team and moved to Wealdstone before having a somewhat nomadic existence.
He didn't fit in at AFC W (Terry Brown was manager at Hayes when Jolly was there too) & I reckon that the RLP maybe his natural level.
I don't have all the gen on him but he obviously knows where the goal is. However, against the other 4 of the top 5 clubs he scored just twice, both against Staines at home & away. - they lost both 3-1 and 4-1 respectively.

So frankly even though we will probably lose to Staines it saves me having to put up with a load of smug arrogant mean spirited Scummers all afternoon on Saturday ;D

Haha! Even though i do really hope Staines win on saturday, i do wish the Bobbins good luck as any team who gets to the playoff final deserve to go up! Although it is now or never for them as i really can't see Jolly and Ide staying unless they get offered a 4 figured sum! I could be wrong though!

Well done Carshalton. Congratulations on your excellent season and good luck for the final.
As stated elsewhere though I would prefer to see Staines go through as I see them as a greater threat next season and we all like a local derby!!

Jon, if their owner is willing to pay them, they'll stay. Money is a great motivation. I think Ide should be playing at a far higher level than the RLP but I'm not so sure about Jolly, yet!! (see post above).

Fair play Jon & Garethl; actually I would be quite happy to see Staines go up, they have deserved it on the strength of their fine consistent performance over the last two seasons. We're going to have a party come what may! Jolls has been brilliant for us this season but whether he would be so successful in a higher league is an interesting one. he has been around for quite a wee while..I suspect Frakey might be correct.

There's all summer for exciting transfer rumours. In fact, one of the benefits of going out is that we have a full four days longer than you to lure new players to the London Borough of Sutton *gives himself clutching at straws scout badge*
