As for the season a year ago we had just been relegated from the connie sth having come rock bottom our manager had walked out on us and players were running for the exit door. I don't think there has ever been a lower eb at the club or a feeling of such depression in the air, you only need to read pages 17/18 of this message board if you don't remember. Yet here we are tonight having just lost the playoff semi final and with real hope and excitement for next season. Dos said it was a 2 year plan to get us back to the Connie sth and I would say he has got us 8 tenths of the way in just 1. Dos took us off our arse and delivered us more high points in one season then we have seen in the past 5, the FA Cup run and the win against Dover, the excellent 3-1 away win at Tonbridge the game at Hastings and last Saturday which reminded me of why I love the game.
At the end of last season we had no hope, at the start of this season the hope had returned but as we end this we have something we have not seen for years and that's belief REAL BELIEF!
THANK YOU DOS AND TO EACH AND EVERY PLAYER PLUS A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR CHAIRMAN AND CLUB MANAGEMENT!

I'd like to add my thanks to everyone at the club for this season. Despite having fallen at the second to last hurdle on the promotion track, this has been the best season, in my opinion, since we qualified for the Conference South, possibly even better.
The belief, commitment and energy that Paul Doswell has brought with him to the club has been fantastic. After the dreadful torture of last season, we looked like a dead duck, but PD came in, swept away the dead wood, and started to build a team for the future. He has brought in players that want to win, on a budget that is not the most competative in this division, let alone the Conie South. We are half way through his plan, and yet, as os mentioned, he had delivered the most enjoyable season in at least five years.
Also, a big thankyou to all those involved in running the club. Well done one and all for keeping this club running on a sound foundation! Big credit to Bruce for garbbing PD when he did. A moment of true brilliance and forsight from the 'Iron Fist' himself. I am still very proud of our club and those who put the time and effort in to keep it on the straight and narrow and those who keep the fascilities running (who I'll be seeing on the 26th May). Well done also to the Supporter's Trust and Supporter's Club for all their efforts. Keep up the good work everyone!
Finally, the supporters. At the end of the game last night, if someone had just walked into the ground, they would have thought that it was us and not Staines who had just won 3-0! The support has been fantastic this season and every game I have been to this season has had a great feel to it. Well done one and all, especially all those who came last night! Great atmosphere ;D.
Big thanks to everyone! On to next season, let's keep it up and make it better than this one!
