Heard on tv tonight Nick is Charlton's player of the year.And on the radio they say it will be hard for Charlton to keep him.

He got 2/3rds of the vote : including mine as I've a season ticket there. Him and Jonjo Shelvey have been the only 2 bright spots in a season of unrelenting crap. The crowd love him, he never shirks a nutty tackle or crazy block, has scored a dozen times from the left wing where he lives these days (gotta play the captain of China even tho he isn't terribly interested anymore, eh Zheng Zhi?) and would be a huge hole if he went to Birmingham as has been touted.

I think he said something about him only leaving if Charlton were willing to offload him for the right amount as he said he was in the team that got Charlton into this mess, he wants to get them out! Top stuff.

I cannot see him staying at Charlton he is way to ambitious for that and there will be offers and Charlton need the money its just a question of who he gets him. I know Birmingham has been rumoured but I think he would rather stay in London if given the chance, Fulham would be an ideal move I reckon?
I know Dowie was watching him when he was with us, so maybe they could entice him up to Newcastle?

Well, the Addicks are something like 30m in debt. So I doubt they'd be able to resist someone coming in and offering 1m+ for Nicky.
Good call about Newcastle. They're going to be needing experienced Championship players! ;D

It was Fulham who released him as a junior, I believe. Stranger things have happened in footy.

Slightly off topic popinjay but are you going to the Fulham game? I'm making my last trip up for that, don't know why I keep punishing myself (and the car!) this season but I've got a slightly better feeling now after last night!
