I went to see the 'all conquering' youth side last night only to be disappointed about the whole event. They were played off the pitch by Croydon who thoroughly deserved their win. Billy Dunn was sent off and got involved with oppo supporters as he went down the tunnel. Croydon's captain, who was the best player on the pitch by a mile, also got sent off for getting involved. There were appalling tackles, gobby supporters (mainly Croydon) who were chanting pro style songs (at a youth game !) shouts of 'get him' to various players on the pitch, and oh a Sutton player who decided not to pick up his runners-up medal at the end of the game. All in all a really distressing and worrying night for football in general !

I also went to watch this game yesterday evening and was completely abused by your so called 'fans' .. I felt threatened and sounds silly i know, but was even worried about going to the toilet half-way through the game incase your 'fans' started on me AGAIN!! ..
One of your supporters decided to stand in the away end chanting and making rude hand gestures at the Croydon fans, i merely said to him 'this is a youth game, let them play the game and stop with trying to stir it up please' i then received a load of abuse and threatening behaviour.. so as for our gobby supporters.. i think you need to look a little closer to home!!!!
NEVER were there any shouts of GET HIM! that comment is absolutely ridiculous, bear in mind YOUR PLAYER started this by running into the away team fans and trying to start a fight.. because of a comment a small child made..rather grown up dont you think!
At one point, one of our players mums had to report your sutton supporters for making nasty comments whilst standing in the away end and oh funnily enough nothing was done about it!
So Before you start blaming this on Croydon, i think you need to have a look at your own fans and players and what they did to make matters worse..

Not helping matters I know but I quite like the sound of 'gooby supporters'.

I watched away from the main stand area so didn't see all the shenanigans that were allegedly going on. However, I had to chuckle at the "South London" chant considering Croydon and Sutton are both London Boroughs, geographically in the south.
It seemed to me that Croydon FC, both on the pitch & off it, was more up for this match than Sutton but I don't remember so much animosity being exhibited at a youth game before.
The best team won on the night but football in general did not.
As for Billy Dunn's antics, whatever the provocation, just plain crazy for a player to act like that - Drogba Syndrome reaches GGL 24 hours later!!
Best wishes too, to Harry Scola after a bad collision with the goal post.
