That's right folks....a team of Sutton Supporters today headed out to the wild Essex plains and came back the glorious winners of the Dagenham & Redbridge 5-a-side competition. We beat Carlisle, Nottingham Forest, Dagenham & Redbridge and Yeovil in the league (let's not mention the defeat against Grays), and then beat Carlisle again 7-5 to win the competition.
The Trophy will naturally take it's place in the Players' Bar at GGL (unless Bruce let's us put it in the trophy cabinet in the boardroom!)

And Gareth tried to claim a goal that was scored by the oppo, at the right end this time but it was quickly taken away from him by the assembled dodgy goals panel!!

Most of the teams looked like they like a drink but the fact alot of us play together every week at five a side helped give us a bit of an edge. There was definitely better players than us there but as a team we deserved to win it IMO. In fact i said we'd win it before we'd even kicked a ball!
