They will be missed some more than others but I am sure we'll do just fine besides we have a decent amount of time to reshape and find some new key players

Although I have to admit its sad to see some of those players go, I put my trust in Dos last season, and we were well rewarded, so I'm happy to do that again this year. Nicholls was a bit of a star last year, but if the club and player can't agree terms, then its always going to be tricky. I'm not surprised by Chukki at all, hopefully he'll get a good injury free run at another club. Hughes and Collins again both were making that regular journey from Hants, and it must be tiring, and its a shame we are losing possibly pound for pound our best two players. Dundas, yes I agree totally what Dos is saying, and bearing in mind he was signed under a contract in our relegation panic year, his release may well allow two players of similar calibre to come in.
Thank you to all those who are moving on, all of you had moments last season where you made a massive difference.
One player (apart from Kes and Bray) who I'm really glad we are keeping is Matt Hann. I always got the general impression that his contribution from us supporters was always a little underestimated. There was a time earlier in the season when he fell out of flavour with Dos's style (like Adam Wilde) but fought his way back in the team and was very important to our cause (and I'm not just talking Aylesbury in the cup).
I'm a bit worried that maybe we have let too many go, but i'm sure those worries will dissolve once these new players gel - if that happens earlier in the season than it did last year, we'll be laughing.

Wow. That's a pretty serious cull. I'm glad to see Danny Phillips staying on though - I think he'll be a real star next season. Also hope that Billy Dunn will start to command a starting place.
I'm gutted about Dundo - and it's a shame about Hughesy too. But good luck to all of the guys that are leaving (even Chukki...) :-)

No hanging about there then, was there. While those who leave did us proud last season, we did run out of steam at the end, especially in midfield, so I totally understand Dos's direction with the team.
With some good players leaving, we will have to look to the new blood for some stars, and I am quite pleased to have Goodliffe as captain. By all accounts he did a stirling job at AFC and it's great that he has come here. The new keeper is of good stock as well. It's a shame that PN did not stay, but if you can't agree terms, a swift mutual parting is probably the best for both parties.
Big thanks to all who have left us. Last season was just what we all needed at the club. Good luck to the new bloods. Looking forward to seeing them all in action.

Well, we were warned about Paul Doswell's "revolving door" policy when he joined us as manager. The door took a few turns last season and is now in full whirl! I do have a worry about broken continuity. Successful sides are usually those in which the team members have played together for some time, got to know each other on the pitch, and developed a good spirit. There's a danger that we could find ourselves in the same position as last summer, with a group of new players who take a few months to come together as a unit. If we're serious about promotion next year then we really need to get off to a better start than we did last season. That said, I'm pleased to see that Dos seems to be keeping a nucleus of players from 08/09 - AJ and KES in defence, Steve McKimm and Matt Hann in midfield and Billy up front. All those players were in the squad from an early stage last season. He's also retaining some players who did well when they came into the side towards the season's end - Laurent Hamici, Steve Watts and Danny Phillips. At least this summer the manager has a better idea of the squad he needs in the Ryman Premier. I think we just have to trust his judgement (for the time being at least). One piece still missing in the jigsaw is a striker to replace Gav. I've little doubt that Steve and Billy will weigh in with a few goals, but they're at almost opposite ends of the age spectrum and we need a twenty-something striker who's proven at this level - and injury-free! I'm not sure that James Hawes or Laurent quite fit that bill - so await news of another signing.

I must admit I had a good idea of who would be departing, although Tim Bond is a surprise. Good luck to them all I say & I do hope Chukki doesn't come back to stick the words of his detractors back down their throats. The bloke had too many injuries to show his true form and we rarely saw the best of him as a result.
Can't say I know too much about the new signings athough I had heard of Hassim Deen and of course the new 'keeper.
Agree with AA about starting all over again to a degree but Dos had no idea what the RP was like last season and he's seen itnow and hopefully is acting on that but within the constraints of the budget.
I do hope that letter turns up in the post soon Co Sec to hopefully confirm what I believe will be a very good signing, if it is who I think it is!!
As for the departures, all would be welcome back to GGL as I really enjoyed last season thanks to their contibutions.

Insider dealing. I knew one of them anyway, YOU suggested the possibility when I last saw you.

From the evidence we saw both of these look to be good signings. Both have pace and looked very direct. W-G in particular looked very good and impressd in pre-season a couple of years back.
Well done Dos!!

Delboy, SJ was but he has a recurring back problem that has hampered his career apparently.

Garness tore us a new one in the Dartford game at ours as well. Only the woodwork kept him at bay.
