Pointless fantasy discussion... If you could have your pick, which ex-top flight pro would you most like to see sign for Sutton? Should be someone high profile, fairly recently retired, that you could concievably imagine might go into non-league just for the fun of continuing to play. They'd be a real star draw, a bit like Jimmy Greaves for Barnet. First name off the top of my head is Teddy Sheringham - I reckon he could still do a good job and might just fancy it....

Matt Le Tissier, surely Hughsey could persuade him over. After all, he's only working part time for Sky.

David Seaman stated a few years ago that ours was the worse pitch he had ever played on after turning out for Arsenal reserves when Wimbledon used to play their reserve games at GGL

Joey Barton. He'd do a job at non-League level and surely no one else can want him... except Big Sam of course.

David Seaman! Haha Exactly what I was thinking! Though let's remember Paul wants youth so actually maybe this whole thread is a bit pointless - sorry I'm missing the point here aren't I... Joey Barton. He'd do a job at non-League level and surely no one else can want him... except Big Sam of course. Eurgh I cannot stand that guy.

If Neil Ruddock bought his wife along too i could see the crowds increasing ;D
Personally i would go for Gary Speed.

Ha, Ruddock is a great shout, I could definitely see him turning out for us. Not sure we'd find shorts to fit him mind you....
