O/T Open Invite before the Suicide Mission Begins

As I'm sure most of you are now aware, myself, Taz and Chalmers are setting off on our mission to drive to Mongolia in an 847cc car in a little under 3 weeks, so it would be incredibly rude of us to bugger off to the other side of the world taking part in the stupidest thing any of us have ever done without having at least a few drinks....think of it as the Wake that we won't be able to have when they can't find our bodies in the middle of the Gobi Desert.

We (and when I say we, I mean the three of us and our new best friend Percy the Perodua) are having a few leaving drinks in the afternoon/evening of Sunday 12th July at Ye Olde Red Lion in Cheam Village and it's an open invitation to anyone we've ever spoken to....even those of you who any of us may have offended on a regular basis over the last few years.

It would be great to see as many of you there as possible...for those of you with kids, under-18s are welcome and can make use of the beer garden until 8pm.

Feel free to invite anyone along who might want to come but doesn't read the message board...the more the merrier, but please let me know if you are definitely coming as the pub has asked for approximate numbers to give them an idea of staffing requirements.

Was a cool afternoon. I'd say about 40-50 people showed their faces between 3pm and 8pm. Another 60-odd quid in loose change donations as well.

Everyone loved Percy, a couple even asked for a go. And I'm not sure the neighbours would have been too impressed with the use of the airhorn.
