Not much to report really. Had the lions' share of the chances, but it was one of those "We could have played all night and not scored" games. Best opportunity fell to Danny Phillips who let a cracking shot fly from 30 yards forcing a fantastic save from the Winchester 2nd half keeper.
We're looking quite fast down the wings at the moment (Don't know the names although I think Prince was down the left in the 2nd half), but lacked the killer instinct finish.
One oddity, Ouzo Opara played in defence for Winch

I haven't been to either game so far. It was stated earlier that several players are still on holiday. Would that include Billy & James Hawes, Steve Watts and Kes? Anybody heard how Steve Watts is after his operation? Also how many of the triallists will be with us come Saturday?

Yes, Kes and the Hawes boys (makes it sound like a Randolph Scott western) are on hols, I believe Mr Watts is still recovering from his op.

Is not that the point of attending friendlies though, i.e. to get ued to the new faces & look at the trialists?

Not at Winchester on a wednesday night!
I've learnt over the years that an awful lot of the players you see in the first few friendlies never appear again!

Not always the case Delboy. Sometimes they rock up at the Bobbins' or at us a few seasons later!
