I have to say I was impressed with The Bees & while it was an X1, they are now in League One & Scotty will be looking to brin youngsters who have the potential to step up to that level & so U's fans shouldn't be too dispondent. The performance at H&W was probably more relevant to our season. I still am concerned about where the goals may come from & I'm not sure about KS, he appears to be lacking in confidence after an inconsistent season at H&W last term. Surely not the 'keeper who helped them get to Anfield in 07/08?

As for the right back position, is that not why we signed Billy Hawes? I reckon Jason Goodliffe & Kes at centre back, although Justyn Roberts has got better in each match. A decision there for Dos.

I was impressed with Anthony Jseph when he came on but he, like Matt Hann, is a right footed wide player, so anothe conundrum. Could AJ play up front? I think Steffan Payne could be the surprise though. He's massive for his age but wil of course lack experience but certainly lads of promise.

Very early days yet, so let's see how it all develops.

I thought Craig had a good game, in fact I rarely noticed him, which is always a good sign. He is young enough to make it to the full-time game & I hope he goes all the way.

Spot on about Billy, Mr. Brentford fan - he is very young and has a lot of potential, but has some way to go in terms of his attitude and so on. That's not a criticism of Billy, more an observation about his lack of experience and that.

Maybe, Beaney but as he comes from Sutton e won't ever be refereeing U's in a competitve match & anyway he's probably declared us as an allegance (spelling?).
