I only found out about my Dad's 'turn' at Wednesday's friendly when I got back from business up in Hartlepool late yesterday.
Can I just say a big thank you to everyone, especially Sarah for alerting the St John's Ambulance people and Andy K for getting him home. Also a big thanks to the St John's Ambulance members at the ground for looking after him.
He seems fine now and the GP found nothing wrong yesterday. He's having a blood test today but the results won't come back for a couple of weeks.
Once again thank you! I'll see you all on Saturday.

Glad to hear Derek is ok - we're all one big family at Sutton (Sarah's words not mine!)

I, too, am relieved to hear that he is fine. No need to thank us Ray - we were hardly going to leave him there! See you tomorrow.

Yes, very well done to Sarah. despite the Chinese Foot Binding and Japanning, she scooted round the ground to get help like an Olympian. Just a word about the St John people. It's not often you see them in action and I've often wondered how useful they would be in an emergency, but I have to say that I was SO impressed with the professional and caring way they dealt with Derek - So well done them!

Absolutely - they were wonderful! (Sorry, I've been out of action for a bit)
