God bless Bobby Robson. One of the best managers England has ever produced, and a nice bloke too. Took unfashionable Ipswich Town to Wembley to win the FA cup, then on to conquer Europe in the Cup winners Cup. The most sucsessful England manager behind Sir Alf, Taking England to a penalty shoot off, of the World Cup Final!! God bless you Bobby!!  |

Ipswich never won The Cup Winners Cup.They did win the EUFA Cup though - in 1981.

Got knocked out by your Barcelona boys in th QF's bh.
However, got to agree with you. Watching the news last night made me cry. Every time he spoke about football it was worth listening.

Bobby Robson is a true legend. An example to managers not just in England but throughout the game around the globe.

Sir Bob proved that it's possible to be a nice guy and a winner. He was an absolute gentleman, and really puts into perspective some of the behaviour we see from players and managers today.
Although it's a sad day, the tributes from people across the world show how well-loved he was. As he put it himself "Everyone's got to go some time, and I've loved every minute." RIP.
