Finished 2-2
Went 2-0 up through Gibbs and Gargan but big holes in our defence second half let Met P back in.

I really hate pre-season friendlies but 13 conceeded in 7 games is not good and DDDLLDD means no win in 7, so excuse me if I am a bit worried at this stage

Who's Gibbs? !!! Kes got the first goal. Picked up a few knocks. We looked lively upfront. They aren't a bad side.

I thought Sonny Cobbs got the first goal! Cobbs was listed as Gibbs on the team sheet.

Cobbs did score the first, Co Sec was probably still smarting after his 45 min visit to the M25!!
Scored 2 good goals & played some nice stuff at times but it was patchy & the concern is the goals being conceded. Impressed with Anthony Joseph's contribution and that of Sam Gargan too - he got better as the match went on.
Still unsure how we will line-up next Sat but I'm sure Dos has a good idea. LOL

I couldn't get onto the live updates today, so sorry to one and all!
Most concerning for me was the buckling after comfortably being 2 up. Joseph and Gargan impressed today. It seems we could possibly have more talent to choose from compared to this point last year. The issue at the moment is to get them working as a unit. Thats what friendlies are for. If we have that record going into september, I'm going to start worrying. For the moment, i'm going to suck it and see...

Yes i did mean Cobbs and not Gibbs.Got confused after looking at the team sheet which was mis spelt. Was it co-incidence that both goals came after Kes went off and Justin Roberts replaced him? Both goals came from that side.Maybe the full back Chattaway.Difficult to pin point blame without an action replay. On the plus side Gargan looked solid up front and Joseph was very good.Once we went 2-0 up i thought there was only one winner. Its a funny old game!

My mate who's a Brighton season ticket holder thinks Gargan is quality and wasn't given a fair chance there. He reckons he's a great signing for us.
