Can anyone remember a summer when so many teams disappeared? Since the end of the season Farnborough, Enfield and Scarborough have been liquidated, Hayes and Yeading have merged as have Moor Green and Solihull Borough. Boston have been demoted 2 divisons after relegation from the Football League, and could well likely not make it to start of the season altogether. And that's not forgetting Lancaster City's problems. It certainly is a worrying time..........

It's hardly a surprise. In fact the surprise is it hasn't happened earlier. Too many clubs spend too much money chasing a dream. Sometimes they rely on one man & when he loses interest or is fed up with it all & walks away or just runs out of money, it all goes tits-up.

I thought i read somewhere that they would try and groundshare with the supporters Enfield club so maybe they will merge eventually.

If Enfield were going to merge with Enfield Town, then surely this is the time to do it. I agree with Amber Aleman, though. The true spirit of Enfield lies with the Town club formed by the supporters, as does the spirit of Wimbledon with AFC and not Plastic Franchise Dons FC. As for Scarborough, they have been well and truly stuffed by previous owners, one of whom nearly brought down Exeter as well and I believe is now spending time at her majesty's pleasure. It's a long way back, but there will probably be a new club at Northern Counties East level (same level as AFC Dons started) with supporter's involvement and they may eventually get back to the Theatre Of Chips and will be debt free for the first time in years. Good luck to them. Talking of owners, I like this quote from Man City's announcement of their takeover - ""The offer presents an opportunity for Manchester City shareholders to realise their entire shareholding in Manchester City for cash, at a significant premium." Good to see they've got their priorities right, eh ?
