Thread idea nicked from Conf Forum since i thought it'd be interesting. No friendlies and county cups to keep it a touch more interesting and it can be any sporting crowd, not just footy, as long as you paid to get in and know the attendance!
Biggest: Wales 2-3 Serbia & Montenegro (72,514) Smallest: Enfield 1-4 Sutton United (101)
A mere 72,413 difference ;D

I know the largest crowd I have been a part of that’s my first FA Cup final in 1980 West Ham v Arsenal 100,000
The lowest is rather harder to record. However a recent one would be when Sutton played Met Police in Jan 08 when there were 149 at the match.
A difference of just 99,851
I have also been to two record crowd games one being Palace v Burnley I think it was 52,000 and the Sutton v Leeds match.

Like Stewart, I was part of the 1980 FA Cup Final crowd
I've also been part of various recorded small crowds ( I can count myself amongst the "Woodford 15" where the crowd was 147, the 119 Away at Boreham Wood last season and also the 116 at home to Horsham also last season...............I missed the Epsom home game, and that was recorded as 109 !!!
So, using the Horsham game , A difference of just 99,884

Most L'head matches I've been to are recorded at about 100 because they didn't seem to charge anyone to get in! As for largest crowd I've no idea. Wimbledon v Palace many moons ago I guess and that won't have attracted too many I wouldn't have thought. Oh and for those citing Epsom Medibot said no cups!

I was at Rangers v Celtic 1967/68 at the beginning of the season,it was a few days after Pat Jennings scored at Old Trafford in The Charity Shield. It was a Scottish league cup tie and the attendance was 114,000 officially.
I was at Sutton v Epsom last season - attendance 109

Not sporting but worthy of mention: Biggest: I was at the Hindu festival of Ardh Khumba Mela which drew a crowd of 20 million on 30 Jan 1995 in Allahabad, India. 4 rupees to get in.
Lowest: Maxi and Midge, comedy duo from Geordie land, at the Towngate theatre, Basildon, Essex @1988, attendance 9 including ushers (Maxie and Midge bought all of us a choc ice), 6 quid to get in.

Hope you dont me intruding on your thread, only registered to tell you about the Kids for free at Horsham tonight and talk about pubs, but this one intrigues me
Smallest - Wick V Horsham last season, 59 and Harrow Borrough 55 also last season Largest - as a starry eyed youngster - Scottish Cup Final 1968/69 Season at Hampden Park, Celtic V Rangers, according the record books 132,000. I was a kid, so had no concept of the number. Rangers lost 4 - 0

I played at Hampden Park in a schoolboy international in 1970.Only one side of the ground was open, mostly filled with school children. It was weird seeing the rest of that massive ground empty.

One of those moments where silence suddenly seems very loud! Not done it at Hampden but i've been in an empty Wembley and an empty Millennium Stadium and it's very odd. Big stadiums should be full!

In the same vein i will be at The Oval for the last two days of the current test match,I much prefer being there with a few hundred fellow Surrey supporters at a County Championship game.
Going to test matches is not my idea of fun anymore, however my son has got us tickets.
As in the "drinking" thread , idiots have ruined it for everyone. The pubs are open for 5 hours after the close of play.

It might not get that far!! Should be OK for Sunday,i'm not bothered to be honest. They should have picked Ramprakash - the best batsman in England by a country mile for at least 5 years.

Largest attendance, my first match at Wembley England V Portugal 1969 100,000. A 1-0 win for England with Jackie Charlton scoring with a header. Also England V West Germany 1975 100,000 a 2-0 win Colin Bell and Malcolm McDonald the scorers.
Also 75,000+ at Old Trafford Man U V Fulham Over 60,000 several times at The Emirates watching Arsenal
Reserve team matches at Sutton can have very low attendances, even lower than Youth Team Games, but maybe they should not count, as records of these attendances are know by very few.
If the attendance of 116 at home to Horsham last season is correct that has to be one of the lowest senior game.
Off topic sort of like Billy I attended the first day of the Test at the Oval, 22, 000 attendance? A good days cricket, I am also very happy to attend the Oval for the County Championship, as Billy said in front of a couple of hundred. I also attended the first 20/20 match at Lords, Middlesex V Surrey, the biggest attendance there for a domestic match, not a cup final for over 50 years. 21,000 attended.

Great day at The Oval yesterday but too crowded. Can't anyone leave home any more without taking half the contents of their house with them ?
