Seeing as they now have pride of place on our club homepage, I thought I'd blow out our next two fixtures and attend the Lamin Lodge v SUFC Gambia match this Friday. I wonder if anyone can tell me (a) How do I get there by train from West Sutton? (b) Will they let me have a booze on the terraces?

West Sutton to Kings Cross. Eurostar to Paris. Change for Rome. Rome to Reggio di Calabria. Ferry to Messina. Messina to Syracusa. Ferry to North Africa. Trek across Sahara by camel train, via Timbuktu, then west to Gambia.
Alcohol yes, terraces no.

OK sensible answer for you. LHR at 22:20 with Virgin arrives Lagos at 05:25. Connect at 14:30 to Banjul flying with Bellview Airlines arriving 18:10. Please be aware that this flight touches down for 40 minutes in Sierra Leone. From Banjul it is a relatively short taxi ride to Lamin village. Hope that helps.

Excuse me! That was a sensible answer (at least until the N African coast). A train route was requested and that works at least as far as Reggio. The gentleman may have a fear of flying.

In the true traditions of long distance travel abroad to watch a SUFC team, then the train is the correct form of conveyance.
