The season starts on 11/8 and finishes on 3/5.
In the League Cup Blue square North and South teams play each other until there are 8 left and then join the 24 from the top division. I'm presuming 4 from the North and 4 from the South.

Why should the Premier boys get preference in the league cup? Is that simply to avoid upsetting the big boys who see "minnows" like Hayes and Yeading United as an inconvenient intruder into their cup. It's a lost opportunity for North/South sides to meet a bigger team with potential revenue benefits. The draw could still be made regionally. We'd rather get Woking financially than say Thurrock.

Hang on, surely there's more than 20 of us! I agree with Lyall, I think that's appalling treatment of us and our "lower" league. All it is is favouritism because they reckon they can make more money out of two "big" sides playing each other. If it were actually POSSIBLE for me to miss a Sutton Match, i would boycott the whole thing.

Mind you, even Rapid came higher than 15! Then again there were only 12 in the league.

Although rules are being put in place to stop teams playing weakened sides in the Setanta Cup, it will be poorly supported and Premier sides challenging for promotion will want to get out of it asap. How many people do you think would watch Oxford United v Thurrock at the Kassam Stadium in the first round? It wouldn't be worth paying a turnstile operator.
