Reading Margate FC report of their game against Ashford, Paul Nicholls played in goal and Steve West lead the line, and SCORED. If they play om Saturday should add a little something to the game!!

I am already looking forward to this game - FA Cup is a special tournament. This will be a much tougher game than the leaguer game on the opening day of the season.

So what are the chances for tomorrow.....with both teams showing inconsistant form how will it pan out. Last years cup run brought back a little FA Cup fever that has been missing for many years. I am sure PD is looking for another cup run, and will select a team to do just that.

Hiya guys & gals. Well our recent FA Cup record hasn't amounted to much, even against lesser sides. However our hopes have been raised lately with some popular signings & hopes are raised because of them. Hopefully it will be a good game with us (naturally) going through. Nothings taken for granted here though I can assure you & we are expecting a hard fought game which could go either way. If we play the way we can play & put in a decent effort it will be a good cup tie indeed I'm sure. Am just hoping our guys turn up on the day (so to speak). Won't wish you good luck (naturally) but will wish you a safe journey both ways.

Anyone suggest anywhere in town worth visiting for a beer? Easy walking from the station preferably.... Margate's not great for decent beer. (Ramsgate and Broadstairs are better!) Your best bet may be the Mechanical Elephant, the Wetherspoons on the sea front - it's just got back into the Good Beer Guide. Unfortunately from the station it's the opposite direction to Hartsdown Park. I'm stopping off for my refreshment at Whitstable.

Yeah, I know the 'spoons. It's the only pub we could find that was open last time, so had a few in there and a cab to the ground.
Ho hum. Sounds like the seafront & the Wetherspoons again. Joy.

A word of warning, Whitstable and Herne Bay are full of my relatives. You'll be able to spot them easily, they make me look elegant and sophisticated ;D

Whitstable will also be full of scummers...
Well, maybe not full, but they're meant to be there!
What is even worse is that K's got Bognor Regis away. On a Saturday, the sun might even come out. Gits.

According to the Margate FC Official web site, if you are unable to get to the game there will be a radio broadcast of the game thru GATE RADIO......( via official site)

Seriously guys, we would prefer you to be there, but if you can't make it listen to commentary on our main site. Go to the main site and then go to the media centre. You can download media player if you don't already have it or click on the gate radio icon for live link. I find that Realplayer is usually the better of the two choices, the other being Windows player. Steve has been doing it for a few seasons now and is pretty good. He tries not to be too biased either. If you then go to the forum there is usually a thread running throughout which Steve keeps an eye on to answer any questions. The team is usually posted on there also if you are late tuning in.

Just remember our indifferent start to last season became more concrete as our FA cup run began against Cray. Could end up being the turning point of the season!
Wishing I was there, but in my absence "C'mon you YELLLOWWWWWWS@
