Yes lets forget that the player just went in late and two footed on the keeper . Oh you forgot to put put that photo up . He was being pulled away before it really kicked off so don't try to be clever with a couple of still frames. I was coming on here to praise your good points . I don't think I will bother .

Even if you believe the tackle to be 2 footed or even a foul (which I don't) what is No2 who was not involved in the initial incident doing? I believe that the match was filmed so I am sure we will all see clearly that the action was only a restraining one, rather than my initial thoughts that the No2 attacked Stefan Payne, if the video shows that I will be first to apolgise.

I think we generally gave as good as we got last night - it was pretty feisty, on the brink all night. Was competitive and the ref didn't handle it well. At the end of the day well beaten and we need to get on with addressing our problem areas and getting ourselves up the league. Certainly last night at least had the feel of there being a 'game' on which is miles away from your normal Tuedasy night Ryman match. Nice to see significant away support. Shame it wasn't on a Saturday as I think we would have seen another 200+ on the gate.

Cody, Stefan actually tried to pull up on the challenge. Yes he was a bit late, but it certainly wasn't 2 footed. Understandably the 'keeper was a bit miffed, but the reaction of the no2 was just bloody stupid.
As already mentioned, I thought the ref handled all the main events very poorly indeed.

It must have been an awful challenge on our keeper , why else would he react in such a way? Also can i just confirm that this is the same Stefan Payne who has a move to Fulham lined up?

It must have been an awful challenge on our keeper , why else would he react in such a way? If you look at photo 0486, taken just after the challenge, you can see Stefan flying over the Dartford keeper's body with both feet following. That surely wouldn't have happened if he'd gone in with any great impact (and certainly not if the challenge had been two-footed). There's no indication that the keeper was hurt, and indeed he got up straight after the incident to remonstrate with Stefan. It was clearly an over-reaction (and the number 2's reaction was worse). I can accept that the challenge was worth a yellow card, but nothing more.

You were right Cody some of the photos were missing as the flickr uploadr missed them out for some reason. Payne's studs fortunately did not make contact with the keeper, although that doesn't condone the challenge... Plus the others...

From that frame that is not a two footed lunge. Feet are on the ground, studs are not showing, which is what I thought at the time. It was a yellow card.
The 2 (Burgess) did initially look to restrain but did so by giving SP an arm lock around the neck which was totally disproportionate bearing in mind the 'keeper wasn't hurt.
I still have no idea why the ref booked the' keeper and let the 2 go without reprimand. The bottom picture rather suggsts that Mr West had a clear view of what was occuring but chose to ignore it summing up his evening perfectly.
Fortunately, he didn't spoil what was a great contest until the unfortunate own goal.

My first reaction was Stefan went in a bit late and ott. I thought he deserved a booking and their number two had to go for the man-handling. I didn't and don't still get why their 'keeper was booked. And yes, I know he got a bit 'in your face' with Stefan but compared to their 2 it was purely handbags.
