We're getting to that stage of the season when runs in the FA Cup or Trophy start to displace league fxtures. (Last autumn we went for four weeks without a single league game.) I hope what follows is of some help in trying to plan the next few weeks. Of our four scheduled league matches in October, only next Saturday's trip to Aveley is safe. Our home match against Tooting & Mitcham the following Saturday (10th) will already have to be rearranged as that's the date for the FAC 3rd qualifying round. Both us and Tooting are through. We're due to go to Hastings on Tuesday 13th, but that would be postponed if we draw our Cup match on the 10th. But victory or defeat for us on the Saturday would mean the Hastings match goes ahead, as they're out of the Cup. If we get through to the 4th qualifying round then our home game against Harrow on the 24th would go. Otherwise it should be on, as Harrow too are out of the Cup. The other two Saturdays in October (17th and 31st) are reserved for the Trophy. If we get knocked out by not so angelic Tonbridge then we'll have a blank day on the 31st - unless we have a hastily rearranged league game on that day. The first round proper of the FA Cup is on 7 November, when we're due to visit Billericay in the league. But that seems rather a long way off at the moment. (It might even have turned cold by then! )

Our run of matches has been a pain in trying to arrange things, our next guaranteed home Saturday league match is not until Nov 14TH against Ashford 2 months and 9 days after the last one against Boreham Wood. A complete pain in the arse
