I'm thinking about coming down and watching some games starting this weekend and would be grateful for a fans perspective on the standard who to look out for etc? Who are the fans notable players in the first team, reserves etc? I'm fed up with League Football and am gonna give proper football a chance. Any news information on the club in general would also be gratefully received.

Cheers for the response CoSec. I have looked on the site but the player profiles seem to be unchanged from Pre-Season. I like the opinions of the people watching as they are the most I honest I think.
Do you get a good crowd in the ground? Should be good this weekend as its an FA Cup game?

4-500 average for home games at the mo.
Players to watch are Alan Bray at LB, Sonny Cobbs CM, Danny Phillips AM, Matt Hann AM. And if he plays, Stefan Payne up front. He's on his way to fulham in January.

I wouldn't expect too many Saturday as still in the early stages of the cup and against a team a division below. Maybe 500 or so if we're lucky. Generally for league games we get in the 500s at the moment, certainly on Sats.
As for players Goodliffe the captain at the back is decent - stong, good in the air and reads the game fairly well. Alan Bray is a very decent left back. Danny Phillips is skilful in the midfield. We have a lot of pace down the wings and both strikers have done reasonably well to date. Payne is off to Fulham in January, he is certainly a talent.

My faves are:
Alan 'AJ' Bray at left back - he would fit in well in to many a league side, great coverage, strong tackler and a big header of the ball.
Danny 'Big Man' Phillips in MF - scorer of the best goal of the season last year and a great dribbler and jinxer.

More to the point, did he stay beyond half time? ;D I know if I'd been a first time visitor, I'd have gone to the bar & stayed there. Or headed off home to do something more entertaining, like watch the leaves fall from trees.

Some intresting talented youngsters in the reserves last week against met police some superb performances from Billy Dunn (who scored a firsthalf hatrick) Stefan Cox (who looked Sharp on the left) Jerson Dos Santos (who is looking close to being back to his best after a spell at Blue Sqare side Grays Ath) Nick Taylor (made some fabulous stops and at only 18 looks a real prospect for SUFC was at Dag & Red last year)
