On the train home from Waterloo afew guys in yellow football tops sat opposite me. I noticed their Woking Prog and realised they were Maidstone fans.We got chatting and found they had lost 2-0.they were very interested in how we had got on. They were also absolutely chuffed to bits we had beaten the Tonbridge w***ers."We always get abuse and aggro there" one of them said."And they always blame the other side" What a supprise! These guys were proper supporters who go to all games home and away.I wished them good luck and left the train after a most pleasant journey home. PS they also said Tonbridge took hardly any fans to their ground in Ashford earlier in the season even though its only 20mins down the road.Wonder how many next Saturday?

Better safe than sorry, we should only be worried if that small minority of rowdy idiots come along.

Yes but 30 fans on the Collingwood Road terrace will be a sorry picture and we will have no toilets!

I find that end is always a sorry sight! And I don't think I've ever used the grounds toilets...

I think after the conduct of some of their supporters a few weeks back at the home game, it really does warrant segregation.

Fair enough but i thought it was handbags at ten paces but if the club feel it warrants it then so be it.We always used to have peaceful games against Tonbridge and went there twice for friendlies.

Sorry Delboy, you were at Tonbridge (I believe) and if you can't read into the atmosphere that day, then, your judgment needs to be called into question. Work it out!
Thy actually brought a fair few for a Tuesday night match last season & will probably be up for the match next week for reasons that should be obvious to all.

No frakey i disagree and that doesn't mean my judgement needs to be called into question. We are talking about a Ryman league club here who may well be vocal but little else, but as i said earlier its up to the club. Just out of interest what are you expecting these supporters to do?

I expect the tea-drinking boo-boys in the Graveyard Terrace will join forces with these Tonbridge Ultras.

Just out of interest what are you expecting these supporters to do? Trust me Delboy, there are some people there who want to do a lot more than swing handbags. There was an incident after the game at their ground, for example, which not many people saw but I did and let's just say things got physical. I am not saying the majority of Tonbridge fans are like that - far from it. I'm sure most of them are lovely people who wouldn't dream of starting trouble, and I hope these people are made as welcome as any other visitors to GGL. It's the tiny minority of idiots and those who might get carried away that means even if we aren't expecting any trouble, it would be prudent to take precautions. Better safe than sorry.
