At yesterdays game one of the match officials was hurt or taken ill while the match was in progress. The game was held up for about 20mins while a request was made to the crowd for a qualified official to come forward and volunteer to run the line. The guy who was from Tonbridge and was on the Suburban League panel last season took over the line and probably saved the game from being abandoned. Apparently from then on he was subjected to horrendous abuse from a section of the home fans over some of his offside flagging which by the way many others thought was spot on! I bet he was glad to get away from those Morons and would certainly think twice before stepping in again to save a game for the club he supports!

I read that too and its why segregation is a sensible thing to do next week, at the very least we can distance ourselves from any type of bad behaviour.

The weather in the Tonbridge area had been quite wet on Frid/Sat. Quite a few Tonbridge fans rang the club on Saturday morning to enquire if the match was on. They were told the game was off due to a waterlogged pitch! and were very suprised to find out they had lost 2-0! later that afternoon. This is true not a wind up.Poor Angels fans.
