‘Clive gave me my post and there was an abusive letter, which I read just before the game. It was a page and a half tirade about how bad we were, and we were this and we were that, and it was a bit of a down moment. My relationship with the fans has been brilliant, and I get quite emotional when we get the support we had today. The lads were saying in the dressing room what brilliant support we had, and it would be great if the fans could gather together in the same way at home and become a real force. So I hope that letter’s a one-off, and if the fans want me to stay I’ll stay, but if they don’t then I’ll go, which seems a strange thing to be saying after a result like this, because I think I’m doing quite a good job and have signed some good players. The only problem with that is that three quarters of the ground would be practically empty!
Pedro/1970's man can certainly stand on his own!
