The FA Cup is great but before then we have a really important game against Waltham Abbey, if we win we go into the Hereford Game in a playoff position and full of confidence. WA will be up for this game having conceded 9 in their last 2 matches, they will be desperate to put one over on us and hoping we have one eye on the Cup game?
WA only 2 wins this season have both come away from home and our home form has been dodgy to say the least, if ever their was a potential banana skin this is it?
Maybe a good day to pratice the Hereford singing and show WA there are no soft days at the office??

We shouldn't have to be at our best to beat WA, but if we are at our worst we will struggle. The defense should be a little more recognizable and if we stay focused on the task at hand we are more than capable of doing what is needed.
Lets put in a home performance worthy of our squad and silence the irritating moaners who do not seem to realise that Dos is the best thing to happen down the Lane for a long time.

I don't see this match as a banana skin, more a golden opportunity to move into the top five. With most of the other Ryman Premier sides involved in the Trophy on Saturday, a win would take us to at least fifth - we'd overtake K's, T&M, Maidstone and Wealdstone. And if Canvey lose or draw at Aveley, we'd go fourth. I hope that would provide sufficient incentive for the players.

I hope that would provide sufficient incentive for the players. Playing for a starting place against Hereford might be an additional incentive!

Its these sorts of game we can't afford to drop points on if we are serious contenders - i'm sure Dos is telling them that now. We've got some mature heads who won't be phased by the euphoria dip, and some young players who are eager to impress.
