Seems that Southend United are meeting with the taxman in court on Wednesday. If a £700,000 tax bill is not paid by then, HM Revenue & Customs will seek to place them in administration.
Makes you wonder "who" will be next ?

I wonder if Histon are in as BIG a trouble as Weymouth?
"Gareth Baldwin has dramatically quit as chairman of Blue Square Premier club Histon. The Stutes supremo brought his seventeen-year reign to an end at the weekend, citing work commitments and recent illness. He will remain on the board. Tony Roach will take the helm, and has vowed to help the club stave off an impending financial crisis. Meanwhile, Baldwin’s wife Lisa is leaving her role as club secretary on Friday, and vice-chairman John Webster has also decided to leave the Glassworld Stadium. "

2 clubs in big trouble are Lewes, long story but they are not telling their fans the truth down at the Pan?
AFC Hornchurch, really looks to me as they could do a moonlight flit anytime No one knows who owns or is running the club not even companies house who have the company down to be struck off, so don't be surprised if you get up one morning and they have gone?

The sad thing about Lewes, Histon and Weymouth is that all of these could be predicted at least 2 years ago. Snippets of the Histon story were going around when they were still in the BSS. To be honest, with perhaps the exception of Weymouth, none of those clubs could be self sustaining in the BSP - Lewes and their Sussex county league set up and Histon, a small village near Cambridge - fanbase???
To be honest I'm not up to speed about what's happening at Rootes Hall, but some clubs will NEVER learn that if you try to buy success, it's going to bite you on the arse sooner or later, unless you have an Abramovic

On a simialr vein, has anybody seen the fun and games that's going on in the Irish Prem? Derry City have been expelled by the league. Have a play on the BBC footy section to find out more if you're interested.
