Our match at home to Ashford Town today has been postponed after further heavy rain overnight.

From the players point of view......week off will help some of them get over any niggling injuries they may have.

Err...what would you rather a wash out with nobody turning up because of the driving wind and rain (which is getting worse here in SM1)?

Err...what would you rather a wash out with nobody turning up because of the driving wind and rain (which is getting worse here in SM1)? In excess of 100 kids still turned up today inspite of the cancellation and in a rain and wind storm. But I agree and lets hope we get good weather for the re-run on the 28th.

Agreed - good news that this number of kids turned up - here's to the 28th...they should get free pop and crisps.

I still managed to find excuses not to go to Ikea today Sensible. The car park at B&Q was flooded, causing me to miss the kick off of the England game. I can only imagine the carnage in Ikea. Learn from my mistakes - your life is rich enough without visiting Valley Park on a Saturday afternoon.

I watched Rugby today,England 16 Argentina 9.I wonder how long those Rugby fans (who seem on the whole quite intelligent) would turn up if it was 1 - 0 every other week.Or the Rugby equivalent of 1 -0 , three nil i suppose ?
