Following the postponement of this afternoon's game against Ashford, which was to see the first Community Family Fun Day organised jointly with the Metropolitan Police, we're pleased to announce that the Fun Day will now take place at the home game against Wealdstone in a fortnight's time, Saturday 28 November, and we are very grateful to the Metropolitan Police for agreeing to rearrange at such short notice.

This is good stuff, but will everything go as planned before e.g. Radio Marsden?

This is good stuff, but will everything go as planned before e.g. Radio Marsden? We going to attempt to restage the whole thing Radio Marsden as well, but obviously its difficult to confirm everything this early but the signs are good.

Excellent news. I have to say that if it wasn't meant to be family fun day today I wouldn't have been remotely bothered by the calling off but as it was I was gutted for the organisers and the kids. Well played on rearranging so quickly!

Radio Marsden have this afternoon confirmed that they will be taking part in the Fun Day on 28th and broadcasting live from the ground.

Huge well done Clive, thanks for all your organising and efforts, and to PCSO Steve along with all those that have assisted. All those families that attended today will surely have been impressed, great game for them to witness.

Thanks for the comments but I just do the easy part it rely's on lots of others actually get up off their chairs In the end the event did not go too badly, the ground looked well populated and the result or the football could not of been better. Its a shame the previous postponement and grotty weather kept the attendance down though.

I know what you mean Clive, BUT, word of mouth by those who "were" at the game should encourage those who intended to come, but didn't, because of the weather, to come down and see what they missed !

It would be good to see the invite extended to older kids next time. Would that be possible?
