Firts half was really impressive stuff. The football was all played "to feet" and if we had gone in 3 - 0 up at half time it would not have flattered us at all. I spent the last 15 minutes of the 2nd half wondering how it had come to us clinging on. Bognor were certainly better in the 2nd period but really weren't offering much quality. Our mid field seemed to go a.w.o.l. and it was far too easy for Bognor to hit balls into the box. Still a useful 3 points and if we can play like we did in the first half regularly I think we will take points off most teams in this league. All in all an enjoyable Saturday afternoon despite the dreadful weather driving West to get home.

Super first half. Played some really good stuff, knocked it around well. Second half was a bit more iffy. Agree with Wiltshire. The midfield was much more porous and at times it was a bit too easy for them to retain possession.
Definitely a pen 1st half. Sam nudged it in front of him as the bloke slid in. Sort of challenge you've got to time perfectly and he didn't. I think the slightly theatrical way he went down was simply because he was actually trying to stay on his feet.
Brilliant second goal. Great ball from Billy, lovely knock down from Sam and a blistering finish from Charlie. Really hope the guy wandering about with the video camera on a tripod got it! Would love to see it again.

Bognor keeper got their man of the match award BTW.
For us, I had Danny Phillips, he was all over the place and caused them all sorts of problems.
Thoughts on our MotM anyone?

First half of the second half v Maidstone and the second half of the first half at Bognor were particularly pleasing on the eye; the difference was the all-important end product on Saturday.
So; the attacking exciting triumvirate on Saturday deserve plaudits for sure, especially for the first half performance. In the second half Jason Goodliffe once more stepped to the plate to repel Bognor's raids. A proper centre half.
However, whilst I agree that DP had a really good game on Saturday, the beating heart of our midfield was Alan Pouton whose influence on matches is growing with each performance. He'll be a key man over the next very busy six weeks methinks.
