The club have announced that there will be no admission charged for the home Ryman League game against Harrow Borough on Tuesday 22 December.
Any views?

Great idea, I hope it is well advertised and we get a decent gate.
Could we hand out a xmas fixture list for all those coming through the gate?
My only question is what about season ticket holders? However we did get 3 friendlies this year which is more than normal.

Yeah, I think it's excellent and might tempt a few people to bring their mates along too.
Maybe season ticket holders can get a free mincer from Rose's tea hut.

Maybe the Supporters club could organize a raffle. As a season ticket holder I don't begrudge others getting a freebie. However I do believe they should at least buy raffle and golden goal tickets

Having had no flexibility over the date for the re-arrangement, the committee felt that we had to do something to try and attract a decent crowd for this match which is only 2 days before Christmas Eve and will no doubt be competing with a whole host of office parties etc.
We will look at various ideas to try and gain some revenue from those that take advantage of this offer and will certainly talk to the Supporters' Club about a raffle. The fixture list idea is good as well.

A friend of mine said that there should be a charge of £1, not free admission. People don't value things they get for free, he said.

Could we not invite a charity a long to try and get some money considering people aren't paying to get in? Possibly a local kids charity as it is Xmas?

How about advertising a family ticket for our Xmas home games?

Have someone selling scarfs at the entrance before KO and walking around the ground at HT. Hopefully people won't have dressed responsibly and need one to stop their nipples freezing off. Scarfs are quite nice things too, and don't cost too much.

How about...
It's free admission, but everyone has to buy a raffle ticket (say £2 each), which goes to a local charity.
The prize draw takes place in the bar after the game, with some of the players joining in, therefore encouraging people to stay and spend a bit more in the bar afterwards.
So a local charity gets some money, Sutton gets some good PR, the bar gets a bit of extra spend, the fans get a warm glow inside.
